New Shoes

Hi my name is Nikki and i am a shoeoholic.

I love shoes espceially heels ( a must have when you are short) and i cant walk past a shoe shop without going in and having a look especially when there is a sale on. I spotted these beauties in a shop the other day and deceided i had to have them. You cant see in the pic that well but they are a gorg cadbury chocolate wrapper purple and have a big heel on them.



The boyfriend tried to do his duty and talk me out of buying them with the usual excuses "you have to may shoes" and "you already have shoes in that colour" but once i seen the price i was over the edge and there was not stopping me. They were an unbelievable bargin at £10. I couldnt believe it. Now all i need it an outfit, bag and accessories to match and i am sorted lol

Dont really know much about this brand but i spotted this gorg shimmer brick and when i seen it was on offer at £4.00 i though what have i got to loose.        



It reminded me of The bobbi Brown Breast Cancer shimmer brick which was out a while ago. I loved my one but dropped it one night and it smashed all over my bedroom floor (I still find shimmer on the floor) so i have been looking for a replacement ever since and i think this might be it. This one is in the Colour Pink and it is just a lovely delicate colour which is great used as a highlighted also. The colour payoff isnt in your face but just enough in the right light to make you look natural and healthy.

I think this is a great product and has made me excited about trying more from this range. Let me know if there is any must try products from this range.

Primer.......Gosh!

Primers havent really been something I have been into as my skin sometimes doesnt absorb loads of product and I find my make up will then just slide off my face but after watching pixiwoo and pixi2woo channel on youtube I decided it was something that I should look into again. The principle of a primer sounds brilliant to me as i spend most of my day with my hands all over my face due to stress and frustration which in turns takes all my make up off so by the time 4 o'clock rolls around i have no make up on at all.

The first primer i tried was by MAC which a friend give to me after it made her break out, this should have told me something but i choose to irgnore the signs as free MAC make up is to good to turn down. Although i didnt love this primer i didnt think it was terrible but it just didnt work for my skin.

My Second primer was Photo Flawless Primer by 17 (avaiable in boots in the uk) and i hated it was by far the worse £4.99 i have ever spent in my life. You needed a good amount to cover your whole face and it left your face feeling heavy and overloaded and most importantly it did not make my make up last any longer.

But it turned out to be 3rd time luck on the primer front as my third purchase turned out to be a winner. I heard about this primer on Pixi2woo when she done a review on primers and this came out as her winner aswell so i though this was a wiser choice. It is GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer and it is about £12.99 in Superdrug and as you can see you get alot of product for your money as you only need the smallest amount of product.




I have been using this primer for about 3 weeks now and i love it. My skins feels so soft and even after i use it and my make up last all day.

Def in love with this product.

Karen Millen Bargin

I am such a fan of Karen Millen and although I dont have the bank balance to enjoy many shopping trips in there I make sure I always get myself something pretty out of the sale

I picked up this gorg dress today which was reduced from £160 to £45 which is such a bargin in my book.

I love this dress because it is just so pretty but can be wore causal with flats or dressed up with heels and is def a day to night dress. This dress is also prefect for any weddings that are coming up and is def going to be a staple dress in my summer collection.

Although i have a gorg pair of electric blue statement heels already I am keeping my eyes open for a white pair of statement heels which i think would look great with this also

Holy Grail of Foundations

Like all women I have spent all of my make up wearing life trying to find my hoily grail of Foundation. This has been a long and at times frustrating road but Feb 2011 I found it and it will come as no suprise that it is Channel Pro Lumiere!!!! I love this foundation I really cant say enough about it. I have freckles and I hate them I really do so I want a make up that will cover them but not look like I have 3 inches worth of foundation on my face either. And this foundation gives me what I want, I have full coverage but it looks natural and it gives me a glow like no other foundation but is matte enough that i dont look oily.

The only thing that did put me off was the £33.50 price tag attached to it but I am now 5 months into the bottle and it is showing no signs of running out soon and I use this everyday without fail. So far it has worked out at £6.70 a month which in anyones book is a bargin considering this is a high end lux product.

However my rambling about this product could be a waste. I was watching pixiwoo youtube channel (a real must watch, these sisters are amazing at make up i have learnt so much from them) a few months ago and i discovered that chanel are discontinuing pro lumiere and replacing it with something else. Now i am not saying that the replacment wont be amazing but i have spent a good 10years looking for an amazing foundation and it looks like my search is about to begin again!

Here we go.........

So......this is my first blog, well so to speak. I had one forced on me in uni for my degree and actually fell in love with it, but life got in the way and the blog was pushed out! So I am back with a blog more about me and everything i love, like and hate in life.

I Like every women in the world strives to be everything I am not. The only one thing I wouldnt change about me is that I am short! At 5ft 1 and 3/4 (cant leave out the 3/4, people of normal height would not understand!!) I am well in the petite bracket and i love that. But as for everything else, I would rub myself out and draw myself again given the chance lol. But I wont get that change so instead I use every beauty trick and product on the market, every clothing trick to look thinner and every diet going to strive to be the me I want to be.

So I thought i would write about it here, every beauty crime, all the money wasted on products that dont work and all the clothes, bag and shoes that i should have left in the shop. But most importantly all the beauty and fashion gems that you find and all the bargins that make it all worth while.
